Note: Horizontal shadow line in the angel's hair & dove is from the deteriorating Plexiglas storm window frame.Stained Glass window preservation experts believe this type of energy conservation method common in the 1970's actually causes damage.Trapping the sun's heat in summer (think of your car in July), it makes the glass sealing putty dry up & fall out.The clouded, yellowing Plexiglas also makes it impossible to see the windows clearly at night from the outside as you could until the 1970's.OLMC is currently consulting with preservation experts to find the best solution to keep the windows safe from the elements & vandalism
